Meet Sara Dumke
Position: Reservations & Marketing Manager
Sara has been an integral part of the Sunnyside Watersports team since January 2021, managing both reservations and our marketing efforts. With her strategic mind and friendly demeanor, Sara ensures that every guest’s experience starts off seamlessly.
Years at Sunnyside: Since January 2021
Although relatively new to the team, Sara has quickly become a cornerstone of our daily operations, bringing fresh ideas and a dynamic energy that enhances the Sunnyside experience.
Hometown: Originally from Granite Bay, CA
Now living in San Francisco, CA, Sara works remotely, bringing a slice of Tahoe’s spirit to the city and maintaining the bridge between our watersports activities and our guests before they even arrive.
Favorite Summertime Activity: Relaxing/Picnicking on the Boat
Sara loves to unwind on the lake, surrounded by friends and family, embodying the true spirit of Tahoe’s laid-back summer lifestyle.
Favorite Time of the Year in Tahoe: Early Fall (September)
For Sara, early fall is the ideal time to enjoy Lake Tahoe. The weather is perfect, the summer crowds have thinned, and the lake adopts a peaceful, serene atmosphere, making it perfect for leisurely days on the water.
Ski or Snowboard:
While it’s been a few years, Sara is an avid skier who used to frequent Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley). Known for its challenging runs and stunning views, it remains her favorite mountain.
Top 3 Boating Spots on Lake Tahoe:
1. Crystal Bay Area – Known for its clear waters and scenic views.
2. Deep Blue – The center of the lake, where the water shifts to a mesmerizing dark blue.
3. Emerald Bay – A classic choice, beloved for its natural beauty and tranquility.
